Communicate or Relate?

Learning is the minds ability to absorb information and utilise it in productive ways to either survive or thrive. This is done through development on the information recieved or creation of entirely new elements based upon the same information. AI is programmed with the same format, but only with the magnitude that comes with a world wide expanse of knowledge and information.

Data set Algorithms create learning models in which machines assimilate information and perform.

The creation and development of such machines sparks a child-like excitement in most of us. We look to it in awe as only what movies were made of and what many of us, if not all, once considered impossible. Some of the most impressive tools are; Murf - AI Voice Generator, Adobe Premiere Pro - Professional Video Editor, Dall-E - AI Image Generator and coming in at number one is everyones new best friend, ChatGPT - The Super-Popular Chatbot.

ChatGPT is one of the few Open AI tools that is offered globally at no cost to the user. It is a 24/7 assistant on any topic or question you may have.

Along with it's speedy and vast knowledge, the combination of it's Large Language Model (LLM) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) gets this Open AI tool airily close to the human persona in it's responses.

The ChatGPT 4 is the latest model and is a coversational system ranking as the most advanced in deep learning models. It has safer, more accurate and useful responses than that of the original ChatGPT model. These include responses that are explanatory, collaborative, sympathetic, as well as humorous.

The idea that a machine can be quirky is something I personally never thought I'd live to experience outside of the cinema and it seems that this quality is what gives ChatGPT the upper hand to it's open AI counterparts.

As much as we all love a friend, we also all love creating things.

In fact one of the first things a child does when learning is creating new situations to learn. Whether it means a 2 year old attempting to eat the unedible or a 6 year old making a pillow mountain in the living room, our instinct is to develop and create.

The images below look like actual people right? Well, believe it or not, they were created from text prompts and not a photo camera.

That's where the genius Open AI tool, Dall-E comes in to play.

This development has taken the world by storm with it's attention to detail in creating imagery from simple text prompts. Dall-E uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) and understanding to translate text prompts into

high quality imagery.

Using neural networks, which is a series of algorithms that attempt to simulate the human brain and how it works, Dall-E can combine mutiple elements including concepts and create original and realistic imagery through text decriptions.

Whether it's motion graphics, ChatGPT, or Dall-E, one thing is for sure, the world we are living in today holds exponential opportunity for either improving life as we know it or the latter.

Yet the big question remains... are we now moving past the precipice of mere communication between humans and artificial intelligence to something even more unimaginable than what we have already seen.

Could these robots learn to actually relate to us? Could we be creating intelligence that not only assimilates consequences, but cares about them when problem solving, forgives mistakes when rectifying errors and actually adopts a system of sound judgement in decision making processes. Could that judgement surpass that of what humans are capable of.

As exciting as it all is, the idea does seem a bit terrifying. We've trusted human life for so long, I'm not sure how we would be able to grasp the idea of believing more in a computer than a person.

Needless to say, good people will always have to be at the forefront in ensuring technological development and safety go hand in hand like a packaged deal. The certainty is that the failure to ensure safety first could have catastrophic consequences for humanity, unless of course the next Open AI invention is a Safety First Dall-E 3 Humanoid Chatbot.

Let's see...
